End of Summer Drink Recipe | Watermelon Limonade

I believe that if life gives you lemons you should make lemonade... And try to find somebody whose life has given them vodka, and have a party. - Ron White

My favorite drink in the world (non alcoholic) is lemonade. I can seriously drink an entire bottle of the stuff and not have had enough. I have tried making my own lemonade on several occasions and it never came out quite right until I discovered simple syrup. It's better than sliced bread and so simple to make! So without any further adieu (I hate it when people say that) here is the recipe.

1 Small Water Melon

Juice of 2 Lemons

Juice of 4 Limes

4 Cups of Water

 1/2 Cup Simple Syrup

Scoop out your small watermelon and place the watermelon in a blender. Blend until smooth and mostly liquid. Use a small strainer to strain the watermelon juice into a medium sized pitcher. Add the lemon and lime juice as well as the 4 cups of water and one half cup of the simple syrup.

Allow to chill for several hours. When you are ready to serve your Watermelon Limonade, stir well as the ingredients may have naturally settled. Voila! you now have a cool and refreshing summer drink. It's so delicious and you always have the option to add your favorite liquor.

Until next time!
