Because when a makeup junkie sees a new product she has to buy it... for the blog of course.
Call me late to the game but I just started using Milani Cosmetics products a few months ago. Stepping down from my high end soap box, I have recently found myself perusing the beauty aisles of Wal-Mart and other drugstores. When I saw reviews for the newest Milani Foundation on Youtube my interest was piqued and when I swatched the foundation while shopping I was sold.
I've been using this product for almost a week now so I definitely have some thoughts that I will get straight into. The Milani Conceal and Perfect Foundation claims to combat skin imperfections (of which I have a few) with full coverage. This product is meant to be used as an all in one with no need for a separate application of concealer.
As a person who has quite a few dark marks and facial scars I wanted to be able to give this foundation a fair chance and I did use color corrector before applying. I applied a layer of the Milani foundation on top of my color corrector without covering with a separate concealer.
The initial application covered most of my dark marks very well but left a few visible so I applied a second coat. The second coat gave me mostly full coverage but again, left a few marks visible. These darker marks are generally very difficult to cover with concealer so I don't hold that against the Milani 2 in 1 Foundation.
As an oily girl I was very scared that this product which does not claim to be mattifying would keep my greasy skin in check. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the product stayed matte all day and resisted the aggressive oil on my face. On the the less pleasant side of things, this foundation settled in the creases of my eyes like crazy which I think has an aging effect on the face.
Overall, for the price (under $10), I would suggest the Milani Conceal + Perfect 2 in 1 Foundation and Concealer and repurchase. It is a quality makeup purchase for an amazing price.
Have you tried the Milani 2 in 1 Foundation? What are your thoughts?
