1.why was I so pale? 😩 2. I've been oddly busy but new videos, blog posts, and pictures starting on.... Lets say Saturday.
Things no one will tell you about faux locs (installed the "traditional" way): 1. they're HEAVY 2. When you wash them they're even HEAVIER 3. They take forever to install. Mine took 3 days. I did these and I also did the crochet locs and honestly, I like these better but these are crazy time consuming and high maintenance.
I just want to take a moment to appreciate this color. Too bad it ruined my hair 😩
So let's talk about that time I asked @liwumi to fix me up in the back and take a little off the top and I ended up with no hair 😩. That was two-ish years ago. So here's what I've learned growing my hair out with no color since I went natural. 1. Moisture is key 2. The blow dryer is not your friend AND you don't need to use it in order to braid your hair down 3. Scissors at also not your friend. 4. less is more. The less I touch My hair the more length I retain.
Since I've been talking about hair (#issamood), why not continue? Link to the 2 year growth video in my bio full of clips and what not and I'll also be sharing more here tomorrow.
Why do I look so mean? 😆 anyway, natural hair tip: of yours growing your hair out, take pictures, often. Trust me when I say it's motivational just to see how far your hair has come from where you started plus looking back and actually SEEING the progress will probably dissuade you from reaching for the scissors.
Growth. Also, let's talk about this failed attempt at false lashes. I tried, y'all.
#tb to when I was a bald headed biscuit because... Meh I'll explain later.
Free style tip (just kidding this is Instagram, everything is free): find a designer/brand that is easily accessible and fits your budget and body every time, I call it my go to, so anytime you're in a pinch and need something new to wear you can snag it quickly with no stress. My go to is Calvin Klein because I know Marshalls or Macy's will always have it, it's ALWAYS on sale somewhere, and I can grab it without even trying it on. #yourewelcome
Spread love ❤❤❤
1. Happy (belated) fluffiversary to @myfluffypuffs. Great business. Great products.
2. This twistout was created on dry/old hair using JUST spray leave in conditioner and Biotin Twist Frosting from @myfluffypuffs.
3. Support black owned businesses. I'm working on it too but seriously we all need to do better. Think of all the non essentials we buy from people and companies who don't support our community or our causes. It's time we start investing in ourselves. Don't complain about the price or ask for a deal, support great companies when you can so you can say I knew about them when...
